The Daily Blurb
Why did I call this blog site feral animals in woodland?
It’s certainly isn’t because I have neurotic dislike of cats or dogs.
I’ve owned many pets and have benefited immeasurably from their company, affection and seeming devotion.
No, it is because on the whole no one is on the look-out for the welfare of the local critters.
I know WIRES and the RSPCA generally exist with much advantage to the animal communities.
In my particular area though, I try to be the arbiter of unsocial animal behaviour.
So cats particularly roam unrestricted in the bushland behind us; – leaving a trail of bodies, feathers, muck and guts. Or is it the foxes?
I don’t know as such, I suppose I could leave a series of CCTV everywhere trained on the hot-spots. But hey if I regularly see cats wandering, and find native animal remains predominating. The conclusion is clear.
Please keep your much loved furry friends in overnight at least, and preferably outside caged through the day.
They are VERY SKILLFUL hunters. Check up!!

PS I will never harm the domestics, fear not.
